BASG works in partnership with the Local Authority to promote school improvement and positive outcomes for all children in Buckinghamshire.

We represent governors on a wide range of forums and boards that influence policy and practice within the Local Authority.

We have regular meetings with the Director of Children's Services and the Cabinet Member so that governor views and concerns are continually represented.

Our networking enables us to reflect to the Authority views of governors at a national level.

BASG Executive members are interviewed as crucial stake holders in any Local Authority audit or inspection.

BASG is a member of the National Governors' Association and as such we are in constant dialogue with the DfES and national organisations such as the teacher unions.

We represent Buckinghamshire governors' views, opinions and concerns to the National Governors' Association.

Regular networking ensures we have strong links with Associations in other southern counties, especially with our close neighbours.

Our activities secure dissemination of information and good practice from the national to local level.
